Chaweng Beach
Chaweng Beach brings sand and sea close to Blackjack. Build a beach break into your stay without a long island excursion.
Two sides of one place
Beach by day; music, pubs and clubs in the central nightlife district by night. Chaweng is known for both, but not every stretch of sand has the same volume or crowd. The tourism authority distinguishes several sections, and the sea views are worth enjoying at sunrise too.
Visitor tip
Start with an early beach walk. In August 2025, a visitor described a quiet morning followed by a much busier late morning. For a different atmosphere, continue towards the southern sections rather than judging all of Chaweng by the first busy stretch.
Swimming: things to watch
Water levels and the seabed vary. A 2026 account mentions shallow water, especially in the north, and spots where footwear felt useful. Conditions can change. Pay attention to local conditions and warning flags.
A good fit for
Guests who want to combine beach time with an active evening. Fisherman's Village is a natural addition for a family-oriented shopping night; that does not mean Chaweng's entire beach is unsuitable for families.
