Silver Beach / Crystal Bay
Silver Beach is a small bay framed by rocks. From Blackjack, it suits a relaxed beach outing beyond Chaweng.
What to expect
Silver Beach is also called Crystal Bay or Thong Takhian: all refer to the same small bay between Chaweng and Lamai. Granite boulders frame the beach; the sandy middle and rocky edges offer different swimming experiences.
Visitor tip
Arrive earlier in the morning and bring your own snorkelling mask. The operator recommends the rocky edges for watching fish and the sandy middle for easier swimming. Only enter when conditions are suitable, and keep clear of sharp rock.

A beautiful beach is not automatically a secret beach. Visitor posts discuss crowded sand, activity in the water and traffic; opinions differ on how busy it feels.
